I want a Wii
Posted on May 29th, 2007 at 7:50 pm by Liefje
I went to visit Therese the other day and when I was there I was able to try the Nintendo Wii for the first time. Talk about jumping on the bandwagon a bit late huh? Despite the many events i’ve been to that have had the Wii on display, the lines were always too long and I didn’t have the time to wait in them
I got to try Wii Sports, Wariosomething and omg Dragonball Z. It was great and now I really want a Wii! I sucked really bad at Wii Sports though, my fitness age was 80
Pro Gaming as a career
Posted on May 25th, 2007 at 4:58 pm by Liefje
May marks a few important dates in history. 55 years ago a New Zealand beekeeper made it to the top of Mount Everest. 10 years ago in May Thresh won a Ferrari playing Quake.

Vlog Deathmatch
Posted on May 16th, 2007 at 1:36 am by Liefje
Today the voting has started for this crazy weird thing called “Vlog Deathmatch”. Vloggers from all over the place particpated in making their own original music videos. Irina Slutsky, host of GeekEntertainment.tv has made an entry of her very own.
GeekEntertainment.tv came to the gaming house that I lived in with my teammates the girlz 0f destruction when they won a contest at the Couples, Computers and Gaming event in San Francisco. This is the deathmatch video she made:

It had me cracking up the whole time, especially the “Boris” belt buckle!

Single Player Battles
Posted on May 14th, 2007 at 6:19 pm by Liefje
Last week I wasn’t online at all due to my internet being down for an entire week. I could have gone to an internet cafe so I could have at least done a little bit of work during the week but then disaster struck. I stood on a bumble bee (then had an allergic reaction to the bite) and haven’t really been able to walk anywhere since. My solution? Single player games. Then I thought… I wonder what Quake 4 and Unreal Tournament 2004 are like in single player?! Admittedly ever since buying these games I have never even looked at the single player mode.
So after sifting through the hundreds of emails I had waiting for me when the internet came back, i’ve finally been able to upload this video:
Hmm It’s still tough for me to decide which one i’d pick as the better game to play in single player… you decide!
NB: I’ve started to upload to revver because the videos are come out in better quality than youtube but I still have my videos on youtube if you have an account there and would like to subscribe! Click here for my youtube page.
Myspace meat market
Posted on May 12th, 2007 at 3:13 pm by Liefje
Theres no denying it, Myspace is a huge meat market. It’s probably matched up more people than any of the dating websites combined. Every day I see this “New Message” sign, wondering what the shenannigans of the day will be. Recently i’ve been receiving a lot of messages as though it was a dating site! I’ve fixed the paragraph errors cos otherwise they’re a pain in the ass to read. These are the latest gems:

Kimi Räikkönen is…
Posted on May 2nd, 2007 at 10:50 pm by Liefje
…so freakin’ hot. I do follow Formula 1 but I’ve spent the better part of the evening trying to justify my fascination with Finnish people. They’re just so cool. Then I wondered, where are the hot Finnish Quake players? Finnish people have such awesome names. If I get a kid, it’s gonna be called Jukka Pekka. Or Nico. Or Mika. Or something else Finnish and cute. Of course i’m going to have to marry a Finnish guy to get the killer last name (with a crazy meaning). I would totally go for Kurkipää (crane head), Hyvärinta (good breasts) or Kankkunen (hangover).
But back to the subject at hand: Räikkönen. He has been recognized for his hotness already, being a poster-boy for Tag Heuer along with Brad Pitt, Tiger Woods and that chick from kill bill whose name I never remember. I’m not really fond of the Tag Heuer pic though becuase it reminds me too much of the child Quake player Ivo “forever” Lindhout from the Netherlands:

Being hot, Räikkönen managed to pull a very beautiful wife, former Miss Scandinavia Jenni Dahlman. Seems like she’s a bit too tall for him though, oops!
I stumbled on a really funny story about Räikkönen’s crazy drunken shenannigans. This guy loves to drink. PURRI’s reply? “Of course he’s an alcoholic, he’s Finnish”. Apparently Kimi was kicked out of a strip club for wanking in front of two strippers. Hilarious.
Here’s a hint:

We look so happy together! HAHAHAHAHA… This does not in any way mean I have divorced my current “husband” Richard Kruspe.
Other hot Finnish men include Vesa Toskala… oh wow.
Plagued With UT Fever

As you may or may not know, I am currently writing for GamingJunky, a killer-looking gaming site. Really, the graphics and article layout is awesome.
ANYWAYYY I wrote a huge article that’s almost like a wiki on the history of Unreal Tournament. I love UT and everything about it. I love it so much I have a UT tattoo on the back of my neck. Click on my tattoo to go and check out the article!
