My site has been down for the past couple of weeks due to someone hacking it but finally it’s back on track! I’ve also made a new thing where you must register before you comment because I was getting *way* too many spam comments!! It was like, insane!
Anyway, tonight i’ll be LIVE on ustream.tv because it marks the day of the release of sWooZie’s 100th video blog and (because this is how he rollz) he’ll be doing a live show on Complexity TV. I’ll be there as a co-host to the man himself along with:
Yep, I know it’s pretty late (ok, 2 weeks late) but at least I got the month! This month is the 1st birthday of www.helloliefje.com …to come to think of it, it also marks that the gaming house ended one year ago.
I’m happy to say that it’s been a really fantastic year for me. I started this website basically when everything was up-in-the-air for me… with the end of the gaming house, I didn’t really know where my life was going. But it ended up taking a really good turn, where I started writing for Pro Gam3r Magazine, then finally I got drafted into the CGS. And on this first anniversary, it seems like i’m back to square 1!
Yep, my contract with the CGS is ending in March and me backing down from writing for the magazine, it seems like it’s complete shambles. Basically for the next 3 months I won’t have anything to do (gl finding a job in Sweden, HAH) and i’m anxiously waiting on the go-ahead from the CGS for me to be able to make new video blogs. I have a lot of really fantastic footage from New Zealand which I am totally itching to share with you all!!!!
The previous video blogs I did for the Berlin Allianz can be found on the Allianz website.
So keep your eyes peeled for my new videos, i’ll be posting each one on here as I make it so comment if you want to see something in particular
Another thing… To mark the anniversary i’ve changed the look of the site! What do you think? Mmm, pink Also i’ve updated the media section, where you can find links to recent interviews. I recommend watching the Epileptic Gaming one.
Ok I got back from ESWC in Paris a couple of days ago but I have only a few minutes to update now. I’m busy working on getting the video interviews I did all edited and uploaded
I did an interview about the upcoming ProGAM3R magazine I am working for, if you’re interested you can check it out here.
There are many pictures and such going around and i’m yet to download the pictures from my camera but i’ll post some of my favourites other people took here now:
Go team Sweden!
PURRI rides the Liefjetank!
Interviewing fnatic playstars
Oh and before Paris Richard “_evan” Armstrong wrote a nice article about gaming journalism. This also included a short interview with me. Click here to read the article or click here to go straight to the interview.
Got Questions? Posted on June 30th, 2007 at 12:16 pm by Liefje
Ok so recently i’ve had a request for MORE videos however being so busy with stuff, I haven’t got the time to sit down and think what to make one about! Instead i’m going to be lazy and let YOU tell ME what to make one about!
This is gonna be the “Ask Liefje” segment so you can either post your questions here (nothing R18 please) or email them to me. You can ask anything (gaming or non-gaming related) and if it’s not too crazy (like how to explain limited slip differential in a car) i’ll make a vid answering it!
Last weekend the ESWC Qualifiers for Sweden in Quake 4 were held. At first it wasn’t looking too exciting as some of Sweden’s most renowned talent had not signed up. At the very last minute though, the names of toxic, fojji and fooki were added. This led to the anticipation of many exciting games – and boy did the participants in this tournament put on some fantastic games!
I know you may be thinking that it’s just a qualifier, nothing too exciting. Sweden has a lot of great talent in many games, including Quake and Counter Strike. Many people do believe that Sweden is one of the most difficult country to qualify for tournaments from, simply because of the abundance of talent.
It was fantastic to see toxic back in action and as usual he did not fail to deliver. He made it through the entire qualifier without dropping a map. The finals against fojji were pretty spectacular to see from just a qualifier event. There was a lot of talent there and I managed to interview some players from the event. Read on to view the interviews.
Vlog Deathmatch Posted on May 16th, 2007 at 1:36 am by Liefje
Today the voting has started for this crazy weird thing called “Vlog Deathmatch”. Vloggers from all over the place particpated in making their own original music videos. Irina Slutsky, host of GeekEntertainment.tv has made an entry of her very own.
GeekEntertainment.tv came to the gaming house that I lived in with my teammates the girlz 0f destruction when they won a contest at the Couples, Computers and Gaming event in San Francisco. This is the deathmatch video she made:
It had me cracking up the whole time, especially the “Boris” belt buckle! Click here to vote for Irina! It’s gettin’ serious, those skinny hipsters from Brooklyn are gainin’ on her!
